Additional Study in Ayurveda, Yoga and Vedic Astrology

Below are listed additional study  and treatment options, including clinical Ayurveda programs. This is for students who want to expand their studies as well as for those looking for Ayurvedic treatment.

Note that Vamadeva (Acharya Frawley) is focusing his tutorial work on teaching Vedic mantras and philosophy to a few select students, including higher Yoga teachings. But he is open to student requests.

We encourage students to work with a number of schools and teachers, as well as join a number of associations to expand their connections with the Vedic community. Note also our Resource section in this regard.

1. For Study and Treatment in the United States and India

Kerala Ayurveda
We are forming a new alliance to connect our courses with Kerala Ayurveda for certification and advanced training. Vamadeva is now a Kerala Academy Advisor. Kerala Ayurveda has a full range of traditional Ayurvedic products that are up to date with the latest scientific research. They have several schools in North America as well as perhaps the most extensive on-line training program in Ayurveda. They have excellent treatment and retreat facilities, especially Ayurvedagram in Bangalore. They can provide advanced training for our students and also helpful treatments for all our readers.

Dr. Suhas Kshirsagar
For Ayurvedic treatment in the United States (Santa Cruz, California), as well as for Ayurvedic studies and Vedic astrology. One of the leading resident Ayurvedic doctors and teachers in the West. We also recommend students to him for advanced study.

Vinayak Ayurveda Center/ Dr. Sunil Joshi
For clinical training in India at Nagpur and clinical study in the US and Europe. Joshi has an excellent school, clinic, pharmacy and dormitory in India, comfortable for western students. He also travels and teaches worldwide, including in the USA and Europe.

International Academy of Ayurved
Our Ayurvedic students can continue on for advanced training in Pune with Avinash Lele and  Subhash Ranade. This arrangement has been going on for many years as well as collaboration between Frawley, Ranade and Lele on books like Ayurveda and Marma Therapy. Many European Ayurvedic students attend these trainings.

California College of Ayurveda
The California College of Ayurveda is founded by Marc Halpern, and Vamadeva has been an important advisor since its beginning. CCA has an extensive Ayurvedic program and uses Vamadeva’s Ayurveda course as part of its textbook material. Our Vedic institute students have received credit with CCA over the years and we have recommended CCA for advanced study.

American College of Vedic Astrology (ACVA)
An excellent on-line training program in Vedic astrology for students who want something more in depth and greater interaction than our introductory distance learning program. ACVA on-line provides a full on-line access with state of the arts design. Vamadeva was a former board member and one of its founding members of the college.

2. For Our Courses in Other Countries and Languages
These groups incorporate our course material into their trainings, including having the courses available in different languages.

Lubrano, Dr. Arcangelo
Spanish version of our Ayurvedic Healing distance learning program for those who want to take the course in Spanish. In addition, advanced Ayurvedic training in Spanish, offered in Spain and Latin America with Dr. Arcangelo Lubrano, who is a trained psychiatrist as well as an Ayurvedic practitioner and student of Vamadeva and Atreya Smith.

Suddha Dharma Mandal, Brazil
Yoga and Ayurvedic school of Dr. Jose Rugue (Swami Narayananda), includes our Ayurvedic Healing and Yoga and Ayuruveda courses.With centers in Brazil and South America, with affiliations in Europe as well. Vamadeva works with Dr. Rugue, who represents his Ayurvedic work in Brazil. Site is in Portugeuse. Distance, on-line and clinical training as well as products.

Vedic Center – German and Russian courses
For Vamadeva’s courses in Germany and Russia and in the German and Russian languages, including our Ayurveda, Vedic Astrology, and Yoga and Ayurveda courses. Directed by Sergej Kuschpel and Maxim Kuschpel. Allied with special trainings at Yoga Flow in St. Petersburg, Russia.

At the Core Canada
Ayurvedic Classroom Training in Canada using our Ayurvedic Healing course material as part of a longer program. A Yoga and Ayurveda school and treatment center run by Greg and Jack Van Acker, represents our Ayurvedic work in Canada.

3. Associated  Programs with the American Institute of Vedic Studies
These are programs with schools associated with us, but which are separate institutions. These schools can provide Vedic studies in various areas.

Florida Vedic Institute Yoga Teacher Certification Course
Our home study program is one of the most comprehensive in the United States. More information and practice is involved than in most systems that involve study with a teacher. It introduces students to a variety of different philosophies that make up the vast system of Indian teachings. Florida Vedic Institute Sanskrit Course
Students can learn basic Sanskrit in the comfort of their home. This program will teach the basics so that students can pronounce mantras properly, as well as simple grammar rules that will deepen every students skill and knowledge level. Compiled by Yogi Baba Prem Tom Beal.
